Fiction Poetry

Writers, like spiders, are solitary creatures, preferring the seclusion of their well-constructed world.

Writers, like spiders, build intricate designs that catch the unwary in their sticky threads.

Writers, like spiders, see the world through several sets of eyes.

Writers, like spiders, wrap their audience in a tight weave that refuses to let go.

Writers, like spiders, hide in secluded, out-of-the-way places—until they are forced onto the stage.

Calumet High School is located in Indiana. The "Nine Girls and A Guy" writing and reading group has evolved to twelve members (with more than one "guy") and is going strong! Reading and writing interests within the group range from poetry and humor, to speculative and historical fiction.

Watch for these talented young authors to make their mark on the writing world!
